D0 CHECK-IN AT MANILA

Check in at NAIA Terminal 1 for your flight to Athens.

 

D1 MANILA - ATHENS (D)

Crowne Plaza Athens City Centre 5*

Fly to Athens via EK335 0020/0525 & EK105 0955/1320. Upon arrival, meet the local representative and transfer to the hotel to check in. The rest of the day is free for leisure. You may tour the city of visit Plaka for some souvenir shopping. Later in the evening, be picked up from the hotel to transfer for dinner.

 

D2 ATHENS (BLD)

Crowne Plaza Athens City Centre 5*

Have breakfast in the hotel and after, transfer for your whole day tour of Athens with lunch. See Syntagma Square, the House of Parliament, the Memorial to the Unknown Soldier, the National Library and the Hadrian’s Arch. Also visit the Temple of Olympian Zeus and the Panathenaic Stadium where the first Olympic Games of the modern era were held in 1896. On the Acropolis visit the architectural masterpieces of the Golden Age of Athens: the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion and finally “the harmony between material and spirit”, the Parthenon. Have lunch before continuing your tour and visiting the new museum of Acropolis (Mondays closed). After, have some free time for leisure until your pick up for dinner. Then transfer back to the hotel for overnight.

 

D3 ATHENS – PIRAEUS – MYKONOS (BLD)

After breakfast in the hotel, check out and transfer to the Athens port of Piraeus and embark on your 4 days Aegean Legends Sea Cruise (www.louiscruises.com). Lunch and dinner on board the cruise.

Suggested itineraries to take on board the cruise (to be paid on the cruise ship):

Mykonos 1800 – 2300. Enjoy some leisure time on this Jet Set Cycladic island renowned for its striking windmills. Wander the maze of narrow alleys and an array of shops for bargains. Back to the ship before 2300. In the evening, enjoy the live on board entertainment or try your luck in the casino. Overnight on board.

 

D4 KUSADASI (Turkey) – PATMOS (BLD)

Enjoy the day on board the cruise ship or take some of the ship's shore excursions (to be paid on the cruise ship):

Patmos 1600 – 2100. Here is the Holy island where St. John wrote The Revelation, known as Jerusalem of the Aegean Sea. Take the optional tour to visit the Monastery and Grotto of St. John. Overnight on board.

NOTE: (Do NOT take the optional Kusadai tour to be offered in the morning as you will be going to Kusadasi on Day 9 of this trip. Instead, we suggest you just go down and have some leisure time on your own.)

 

D5 PATMOS - CRETE – SANTORINI (BLD)

Enjoy the day on board the cruise ship or take some of the ship's shore excursions (to be paid on the cruise ship):

Crete (Heraklion) 0700 - 1130. Visit Heraklion, the capital of Crete. Be free for leisure to enjoy the area or take an optional tour to visit the fantastic ruins of The Palace of Knossos, believed to be the mythical labyrinth of King Minos (Minotaur legend) and the seat of the Minoan civilization.

Santorini 1630 - 2100. Formed by the eruption of the volcano in 1600 BC,  Santorini is the most breathtaking of all Greek islands and perhaps of the world. Enjoy the last night on board with live entertainment, disco or, casino etc. Overnight on board.

 

D6 SANTORINI – ATHENS – CAPPADOCIA (BLD)

Tourist Hotel 4* (Best in the area)

Have breakfast on board the cruise ship before disembarking. Be picked up from the port and transfer to the airport for your flight to Cappadocia via TK1846 1005 / 1125 & TK2012 1255 / 1415. Upon arrival, be picked up from airport and get the rare chance to experience the beauty and work of Turkey’s handmade crafts through a Turkish carpet weaving course. Also have a photo stop at Pigeon Valley and Uchisar "castle" village, a fantasy land of strange and wonderful works of man and nature. After, transfer to the hotel and check in. Dinner inside the hotel.

 

D7 CAPPADOCIA (BLD)

Tourist Hotel 4* (Best in the area)

 

Today, take an optional hot air balloon ride where you can watch the sunrise before having breakfast. After breakfast, proceed for your city tour. Be enchanted by the Underground City of Kaymakli, once a place of refuge for 15000 Christians. Then have lunch before visiting the fascinating frescoed rock churches and chapels at the Goreme Open-Air Museum. Have some leisure time before transferring to dinner and then back to the hotel.

 

D8 CAPPADOCIA - KONYA - PAMUKKALE (BLD)

Colossae 5*

After breakfast in the hotel, check out and take the coach to Pamukkale. Enroute, stop by Konya to visit the museum of 13th century Philosopher Melvana Celaleddin-i Rumi, which used to be the cloister for Mevlevi Dervishes. Have lunch along the way and continue your drive to Pamukkale. Upon arrival, have dinner and check in the hotel for overnight.  

 

D9 PAMUKKALE - KUSADASI (BLD)

Double Tree Hilton 5*

After breakfast in the hotel, check out and transfer for your visit to the ruins of the Ancient City of Hierapolis. Also get to explore Cotton Castle, a World Heritage site, made of fascinating white terraces and pools created by calcareous hot spring waters flowing down the mountain. Have lunch and later in the afternoon, set off for Selcuk and explore Ephesus, one of the world’s most outstanding archaeological sites. You will find awesome structures such as the Library of Celsius, Hadrian Temple, Marble Street and Agora.  Ephesus is also one of the 7 Churches of Revelation and holds the House of Virgin Mary. Virgin Mary and St. John were said to have lived in Ephesus and died there. Then continue with your tour and visit one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, the Artemis Temple. After, continue on the coach for your transfer to Kusadasi where you will have dinner and check in the hotel for overnight.

 

D10 KUSADASI - TROY - BERGAMA - CANAKKALE  (BLD)

After breakfast in the hotel, check out and transfer to Bergama and visit the ruins of Acropolis, an architectural masterpiece that is perched on the city’s highest point. The fascinating sites here include the Altar of Zeus, Temple of Athena and the Temple of Trojan.  Have lunch before driving to the ruins of the city of Troy. Once there, you will be greeted by the huge replica of a wooden Trojan horse and museum, a vivid reminder of the ancient Trojan War. Then continue to coach to Canakkale where you will have dinner and check in for overnight.

 

D11 CANAKKALE - ISTANBUL (BLD)

Titanic Port 5* or Ramada Atakoy 5*

After breakfast in the hotel, check out and in the morning, take a ferry ride across the Marmara Sea. You will cross the second strategic waterway, the Dardanelles and drive to Istanbul. There, have lunch and visit Topkapi Palace, once the seat of the Ottoman Empire. Later, have some free shopping time at the world famous Grand Bazaar. Then transfer for dinner and check in the hotel.

 

D12 ISTANBUL (BLD)

Titanic Port 5* or Ramada Atakoy 5*

After breakfast in the hotel, visit the Blue Mosque, also known as Mosque of Sultan Ahmet, which boasts a unique feature of 6 minarets. View its glorious interiors and distinctive blue tiles. Next, view the only remains of Hippodrome of Constantinople, which consists 3 monumental columns and a fountain. This is where chariot races took place in the past. Then have lunch before visiting St.Sophia Church, a former Eastern Orthodox Church converted to a mosque and must see attraction because of its religious and architectural significance. After, have some free time before transferring for dinner and back to the hotel.

 

D13 ISTANBUL - MANILA (B)

Have breakfast inside the hotel and after, check out and drive to the shores of the Bosphorous to visit the Dolmabache Palace. Board for your leisurely cruise of the Bosphorous before having lunch. After, transfer to the airport for your flight back to Manila via EK122 1925 / 0045 + 1 & EK332 0345 + 1 / 1555 + 1.

 

D14 MANILA

Arrive in Manila at around 4PM.
